sugar in the sacrament [maggie's mix #3]

So I made this mix yesterday and thought I'd share it with everyone. It's a little less lighthearted than my past two mixes I posted here but I feel as though it is a good collection of songs that are worth checking out even if you would not necessarily go for the heavy/moody stuff on a regular basis. Though there are the simply heartfelt songs (Panic, Elliott Smith), essentially the mix is on the more intricate side of the musical spectrum and the songs I picked are what I perceive to be meditations or reflection on relationships with entities that are not easily seen, always fleeting or difficult to understand. Some, like Pelican, Juliana Theory, or Russian Circles, substitute lyrics for musical intricacy. Some people have a difficult time relating to music without lyrics but these are a good crash course. I hesitate to describe them as religious or even spiritual because I think that can be interpreted somewhat hastily. Decide for yourself and comment if you would like! I want to hear your opinions. I started this mix back in March when I was having a terrible day. Generally speaking, I'm a pretty placid individual. I don't let too much get to me. But every so often, like most of us... something or someone sets me off. So I made this mix as kind of an "f- you" to the things that are making me feel angry! Listen to all these songs and you'll instantly feel like kicking some ass! Check it out:

Hey everybody,

So I realize I haven't properly introduced myself... I'm Maggie. Carrie & Naomi brought me on to fill the position of "Promotions Coordinator" which is essentially a fancy way of saying that I'm supposed to hustle people into coming back for more Inklings related goodness after each visit. You'll see me posting bulletins and tweets and pictures and all the stuff that the Inklings staff have been previously doing - but we're really going to be kicking it up a notch!

I could use your help, too!
